Fine Crafts

The highly regarded Hampshire and Berkshire Guild returns to this light, bright venue with an inspiring collection of members’ work on show.

From exquisite glass glowing with colour to heirloom designer-made furniture highlighting the beauty of native timber, the craft represented is a virtuoso display of beautiful materials in expert hands. Here precisely detailed wood engravings recalling magical landscapes and cosy domestic scenes are displayed alongside handwoven runners, rugs and blankets in crisp linens and soft natural yarns. Statement ceramics with smoky surfaces rub shoulders with plain, patterned and practical tableware that merits being kept on display, not hidden away in a cupboard. Add inventive, covetable jewellery in precious metals, stones and rainbow enamels, and everything here is evidence of the hours, months and years of considered design and honed skills of the makers. Food for the soul indeed!

Entry is free; all the pieces on show are available for sale and there will be guild members present to talk about the exhibition and chat about guild membership.
